Doing Digital – Digital learning sessions for over 50s in SE Northumberland

For over 50s looking to brush up on their digital skills, Northumberland CVA’s Re:Action Project is offering sets of 8 sessions in Seaton Delaval.

The sessions will run on every Thursday from the 20 September until 8 Novmber, between 10am – 12 noon at Seaton Delaval & Holywell Community Centre, Elsdon Avenue, Seaton Delaval, NE25 0BW.

The aim of the sessions is to give older people the knowledge and skills they need on aspects of IT that will help them in their everyday lives to carry out practical tasks such as applying for and renewing a blue badge online, carrying out price comparisons on utility bills and car insurance, setting up an email account and installing apps on tablets and mobile phones.

The sessions include:

  • Basic Computing
  • Internet
  • Email
  • Shopping safely on line
  • Mobile phones
  • Job search –  Find a job
  • Social Media

The sessions are led by the older people themselves, who are able to decide what aspect of digital learning they want to concentrate on and when.  Contact karen.cox@northumberlandcva.org.uk for more information.
