Speed Sign Report – October 2019

Each month the data is downloaded from the Speed Indicator Signs and a report is produced to show the number of vehicles and the speeds. There are two different types of report formats as we are using two different types of signs from different manufacturers.

Data Analysis

Holywell – A192 beside The Paddock (30 MPH Speed Limit) – The average speed of vehicles passing this sign is 29 MPH.  85% of vehicles are travelling up to or slower than 33 MPH.  The maximum speed recorded was 96 MPH.

New Hartley – Bristol Street (20 MPH Speed Limit) – The average speed of vehicles passing this sign is 21 MPH.  85% of vehicles are travelling up to or slower than 26 MPH.  The maximum speed recorded was 63 MPH.

New Hartley – St Michael’s Avenue (20 MPH Speed Limit) – The average speed of vehicles passing this sign is 21 MPH.  85% of vehicles are travelling up to or slower than 26 MPH.  The maximum speed recorded was 48 MPH.

Seaton Delaval – Elsdon Avenue Shops (20 MPH Speed Limit) – The average speed of vehicles passing this sign is 20 MPH.  85% of vehicles are travelling up to or slower than 25 MPH.  The maximum speed recorded was 40 MPH.

Seaton Delaval – A190 Avenue Head (30 MPH Speed Limit) – The average speed of vehicles passing this sign is 36 MPH.  85% of vehicles are travelling up to or slower than 45 MPH.  The maximum speed recorded was 115 MPH.

Seaton Sluice – A193 Links Road (30 MPH Speed Limit) – The average speed of vehicles passing this sign is 30 MPH.  85% of vehicles are travelling up to or slower than 34 MPH.  The maximum speed recorded was 79 MPH

Seaton Sluice – B1325 Hartley Lane (30 MPH Speed Limit) – The average speed of vehicles passing this sign is 28 MPH.  85% of vehicles are travelling up to or slower than 34 MPH.  The maximum speed recorded was 68 MPH

Seghill – A190 Annitsford Road (30 MPH Speed Limit) – The average speed of vehicles passing this sign is 35.6 MPH.  85% of vehicles are travelling up to or slower than 44 MPH.  The maximum speed recorded was 116 MPH

Seghill – A190 Avenue Road beside Burnlea Gardens (30 MPH Speed Limit) – There is no Data this month due to technical issues with the power supply.
