Death of Her Majesty The Queen

Published: September, 2022

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of our Sovereign, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Her Majesty was a true leader who served her Country, the Commonwealth and our Councils, with distinction.

On behalf of Seaton Valley Community Council, we wish to convey to the Royal Family our deepest sympathy at this sad time.

Susan Dungworth – Chair of the Council

Graham Eastwood – Vice Chair of the Council

Floral Tributes

We recognise that some residents may wish to lay floral tributes as a mark of respect to Her Majesty. We would ask that such tributes are laid at the War Memorials in any of our five villages.

Book of Condolence

The Royal Family have set up an electronic Book of Condolence that is available through their website:  The Royal Family

The Council will be opening its own hard copy Book of Condolence which will be available at the Council Offices in Seaton Delaval from Monday 12 September. If any member of the public would like to make an entry in the Book they should attend our offices between 10.00am and 12 noon. The Book will be available for entries until Friday 19 September.
