Notice of Public Rights and Publication of Unaudited Return 2023/24

Published: May, 2024

Each year the smaller authority’s Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) needs to be reviewed by an external auditor appointed by Smaller Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd.  The unaudited AGAR has been published on our website along with the Public Rights Notice. As it has yet to be reviewed by the appointed auditor, it is subject to change as a result of that review.

Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounts to be audited and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to those records.  For the year ended 31 March 2024 these documents will be available on reasonable notice on application.

The Public Rights Notice and completed Annual Governance and Accountability Return 2023/24 can be viewed below.  The accounting statements are yet unaudited.

Accessibility Regulations

We are aware that the Accounts and Audit Regulations requirement for a physical ‘wet ink’ signature on the original AGAR, does not allow parish council’s to fully comply with the Accessibility Regulations. The National Audit Office are aware that the two pieces of legislation are not compatible, therefore smaller authorities are advised to make it clear on their website that the document is a scan and will not be fully compliant with the Accessibility Regulations.
