Seaton Valley Photography Competition 2022 results

Published: April, 2022

The Seaton Valley Photography Competition 2022 attracted over 200 entries across the five categories of Landscape, Wildlife, Village Life, Under 18 and Under 10.  The competition was introduced in 2016 for residents to share photographs that represent where they live.

The winners were chosen by a panel of judges comprising of councillors from the three Seaton Valley Wards.

The panel were amazed at the range of photographs they had to view that included landscapes from the countryside and the coast, stunning wildlife images, families enjoying the area and fun pictures of animals and pets.

Cllr. Sue Bowman said: “I enjoyed seeing the variety of photographs from around Seaton Valley.  They showed how much Seaton Valley is a lovely place to live.”  Cllr. Eva Coulson said: “The wildlife images were amazing and I admire the patience of the photographers waiting to get the right image.”  Cllr. Jill Henderson added: “I loved the diversity of the photographs and how they showed the photographer’s interpretation of what is around them.”

The category winners are:

  • Landscape – Lynsey Eddy
  • Wildlife – Tony Quinn
  • Village Life – Helen Foster
  • Under 18s – Zak Friend
  • Under 10s – Elliot Chatman

We would like to thank everyone who entered photographs into the competition; we enjoyed seeing the images from across Seaton Valley and how much people were enjoying the area.
