War Memorials

The council is responsible for some of the War Memorials in Seaton Valley.  There are several War Memorials in the area, which include cenotaphs, plaques, tablets and Memorial Halls.

The council carries out regular inspections of its War Memorials and will undertake or arrange any restoration or repair work if necessary.

The dedication on the rear face is to the men and women who made the supreme sacrifice in WWI and WWII. The side faces list the names of the dead from both wars.

The memorial was unveiled in 1921 and was erected by public subscription.

It is surrounded by a low wall and set in a paved area.  A metal fence was added later.
