Have Your Say on the Future of Seaton Sluice Play Park

Published: June, 2026

Residents are invited to attend a community drop-in event to help shape plans for the future of the Welfare play park in Seaton Sluice (Beresford Road).

Seaton Valley Community Council is currently developing proposals for improvements to the play area and would like to hear the views of local residents before the project pecification is finalised and put out to tender.

The drop-in event will take place on:

Thursday 18 June 2026
2.00pm – 6.00pm
Seaton Sluice Community Centre

Members of the Council and Council Officers will be available throughout the session to answer questions and discuss the project.

Information will be available on:

  • The proposed project budget
  • Potential play equipment options
  • Accessibility and inclusion considerations
  • Indicative project timescales
  • The next steps in the procurement process

Residents can attend at any time between 2.00pm and 6.00pm to review the information and share their views, ideas, and preferences. Feedback gathered at the event will help inform the final specification before the project is formally tendered.

Children are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian and are encouraged to share their thoughts on the types of play equipment they would like to see included.

The Council is keen to ensure the new play facilities reflect the needs and aspirations of local families and the wider community.

We look forward to welcoming you and hearing your views.
